Due to overwhelming responses to repair or mend jewelry items that were not purchased from J & M Designs, we are now announcing our jewelry repair services.

Repair fees depend on the item, type of stones, wiring or stringing and complexity of the item or design.

We can not mend broken or shattered stones, but we can try to find replacements.

Please send us an email or call in your repair order with the type of jewelry piece, type of original materials used and exactly what needs to be repaired(broken wire, broken clasp, etc)to receive a quote. Price does not include shipping for non-local residents of the Tri-Cities WA region.

All original materials should be shipped out to us for repair. If any original materials are missing, please inform us of what those pieces are so that we can find the matches needed.

J & M Designs will make it new and improved!

If you have a broken necklace, bracelet or any other piece of jewelry, J & M can also create a brand new design for you!

The customer who brought this item to me for repair had accidentally cut the wire. Because the customer wanted to keep the magnetic closures in which the wire is soldered into, re-stringing the entire necklace was not an option without compromising the integrity of the clasps.

Instead, I used a simple crimp bead to re-connect the wire and the fix is barely noticeable! Because the necklace was not fully re-strung, the customer was then left with two extra stones.

As you can see, I gave her a matching set of earrings with the extra two stones. So for a very small fee, her necklace was repaired with only about an inch shorter in length AND she recieved a matching set of earrings as well! Needless to say, this customer left very HAPPY!
