Unless otherwise noted, all of JaM's jewelry is made with non-tarnishing gold-filled, silver plated or copper-based aluminum wire and findings. To ensure longevity of your jewelry items, please follow instructions on care of your jewelry:
Beaded necklaces and bracelets
Necklaces are mostly made with Beadalon wire string, While very durable, care should be excercised in the removal and storage of these necklaces and bracelets. Avoid excessive "twisting" of necklaces and bracelets to avoid creating knots that can cause strain and eventually lead to breakage. Necklaces and bracelets should be stored in a jewelry chest or in cotton filled jewelry boxes to help keep shape and avoid entanglement. Avoid "yanking" or heavy pulling when removing items. To keep clasps and metal beading looking brand new, use a soft polishing cloth.
Metal Jewelry
Rings, earrings, cuffs and other metal jewelry, whether gold-filled, sterling silver, copper or silver plated, should be kept out of excessive water emersion, particularly chemically treated water such as pools. Using a soft polishing cloth and silver cleaner will help to keep metal jewelry shiny and new.
Wire and adjustable jewelry
Special care should be taken to maintain all adjustable jewelry such as cuffs and finger wraps. While the metal is "bendable" be sure to not bend the jewelry excessively as the design can lose its shape. As with all metal jewelry, use of a soft polishing cloth will maintain the over all appearance and cleaniness of your jewelry.
Earrings
Most earrings JaM designs are made using "fish hook" findings. As with any soft metal jewelry, care should be taken to avoid over-bending and breaking of earring findings. All earring findings are hypo-allergenic copper, silver plated, or gold filled. Polishing with a soft cloth will maintain brightness and cleanliness.
